Welcome to Egeskov's Alpaca. At Egeskov ́s Alpaca you get a unique and relaxing experience where you get up close to the fantastic alpacas.

With us you can book various experiences such as Alpaca Walk'n'learn, Alpaca Coffee & Cake, Alpaca Farm Visits and other special events. Visit only by prior appointment.

It is an exclusive time just for you and for those you choose to share it with.

We offer:

Alpaca Walk'n'learn: (Age from 12 years)

The tour starts with a small welcome and introduction. Then you meet the alpacas and we go for a walk on our property together, where you can enjoy the view of Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse and Børglum Monastery and of course the animals' radiating tranquility. During the tour, we will tell you about the animals and their exciting characteristics. 

When you go for a walk with an alpaca, you do it at their very own pace where you have time and peace with you. Calm movements are important, and through this we humans also calm down ourselves. After the tour, we invite you into our alpaca paddock where you can sit at a table/bench set and enjoy something to drink that can be purchased. All while the alpacas get very close to you and you get the opportunity to hand feed them.

This is a very special, relaxing and present way to end a Walk'n'learn, which all guests are very happy about!

Alpaca Coffee and Cake: (age from 6 years)

Coffee and homemade cake according to the season are served on the table/bench set which is on the alpaca paddock. If you are not into coffee, then other drinks can of course be purchased. While you enjoy your cake, you can let the tranquility, the surroundings and the alpacas do their "work" and you will completely relax. Meanwhile, the alpacas roam freely around the paddock and come curiously to you where you can hand-feed them carrots. An experience unto itself!

Alpaca Farm Visit:

A farm visit with us takes place at the alpaca paddock, where you meet the alpacas up close. We tell about the animals and about all their unique characteristics. The alpacas come up curiously and say hello to where you can hand-feed them.

You will have the opportunity to sit and enjoy yourself on our table/bench set, you can enjoy the tranquility, the view and the animals - drinks and snacks can be purchased.

About our alpacas:

When you come to visit us you will meet our 3 alpaca boys - Pacos, Felix and Bounty. 

Being around alpacas makes you calm down and relax. alpacas are called the dolphins of the fields, and they do this because an alpaca has the same calming effect on humans that dolphins do now. Many people with e.g. ADHD or people suffering from stress are therefore very happy to be with them. They exude a very special, calm atmosphere.

And you will quickly notice that when you step into our paddock where the 3 boys come curiously to greet

Alpacas are extremely curious, but gentle animals that like to come and look at you with their big dark eyes and sniff you with their warm snout. But even though they get very close, an alpaca is not a cuddly animal. They are always on the run as they are still some escape animals, you have to remember that. 

In fact, alpacas don't particularly like to be touched. But when you're lucky, you can get to touch them a little by the neck. We train them to be touched, this is called de-sensitization - it takes time and patience. And then not all days are the same, not even for an alpaca...

About us:

We are actually an ordinary family of 4 who are fond of animals, especially alpacas of course.

We have our jobs, an everyday life and hobbies. Therefore, we at Egeskov ́s Alpaca do not have any fixed opening hours - but rather we look forward to our guests by prior arrangement. 

We also speak German.

All experiences are posted on our facebook page 'Egeskov's Alpaca' and can be booked through there. If you do not find a date and time that suits, you are always welcome to contact us with your wishes.

We also hold birthdays and company events. Feel free to contact us and we will come up with something together.

With us, we only accept bookings from one guest team at a time. This means that the time you have with us, you do not have to share it with others you do not know.

cancellation:

Fortunately, this rarely happens, but some experiences we have to cancel if there is too much rain or thunder, extreme heat or if illness should occur in the animals or ourselves. But then we will find a new day with you that fits in with you.

Our ambitions:

Our goal with your visit is that you get a relaxing, calming and maybe even stress-relieving experience and can go home with newly refueled energy, a smile on your face and a good experience in your luggage that you will be happy to tell your friends.

All activities take place outdoors and therefore practical clothing according to the weather is recommended for your visit.

Some rules:

• Smoking only in designated areas
• The alpacas must not be fed with food and feed
• Calm movements and presence benefit both the animals, but especially yourself
