Easter and Spring season in Løkken

Løkken welcomes you to wonderful experiences on the Northwest coast. Especially in spring, hiking and cycling tours around Løkken are a wonderful experience. By the sea, the sky feels endless, and the clear light follows you everywhere in the landscape. At the beginning of May, 485 beautiful white beach huts are brought out of their winter storage and placed on Løkken Beach. With both the beach huts and the scent of spring in the air, you’ll get a true holiday feeling.

Art of Easter

During the Easter holidays, many galleries and art exhibitions open their doors to the public again, ready to present new works and displays. Each year, Børglum Monastery hosts a new art exhibition for visitors and locals. Look forward to "Teddy Bears on an Adventure in Art," where you can experience famous artworks with a playful, bear-themed twist. Here, teddy bears appear on the beach, in gardens, and at festive dinners, immersing themselves in iconic scenes from art history. From Leonardo da Vinci’s enigmatic Mona Lisa to Edvard Munch’s expressive The Scream, see these masterpieces in a fresh and imaginative way.

Easter holiday and spring fun for children

Løkken offers wonderful Easter activities and holiday memories for the whole family. Enjoy horseback riding through forests and along the beach, or let little feet explore the Løkken Art Trail.

Kite flyers will love the wide, open beach, which provides the perfect conditions for beginners learning to fly a kite. At the local kite shop, KITE CORNER LØKKEN (now renamed Strandguf), you’ll get expert advice on choosing the right type of kite.

For water lovers, surf vibes await all ages and skill levels. Join a surf course at North Shore Surf, where skilled and experienced instructors will teach you the basics of equipment and technique. Safety and a great holiday experience are always the top priority – and children as young as four can take part in lessons.

There’s also plenty of indoor fun! At Action House, the whole family can enjoy quality time together with bowling, go-kart racing, VR games, a playland, and much more.

Restaurants have set their tables, placed fleece blankets on the terraces, and planted spring flowers. Book a table at Restaurant Løkken Badehotel, where you can enjoy a delicious spring/Easter menu filled with fresh herbs and exquisite flavors. Located in the heart of the town square and designed in a classic seaside hotel style.

RARTSTED offers a menu that combines a symphony of Asian and Nordic flavors. This small and intimate restaurant serves beautifully plated dishes with ingredients sourced from its own farm. And don’t forget to try their homemade Limoncello, produced from lemons grown in the owners' own orchard in Southern Italy.
